This Lavender is the earliest blooming angustifolia variety by far!!
Flowers are 4" larger then the common Munstead or Hidcote. Plants form
compact shrubby mounds of aromatic gray foliage. Excellent for fresh cut or
dried flowers. Needs good drainage and full sun for best growth.

Lavandula angustifolia 'Ellegance Sky'

Description:
Not to be outdone by the
other award-winning members of this series, 'Ellagance Sky' won the
Fleuroselect Gold Medal in 2006. The judges based their selection on
similar criteria: quick crop time, uniformity, floridity, a basally branched
habit, and its unique flower color. This is the first variety of first year
flowering L. angustifolia to have light violet blue flowers. They
are produced in abundance atop bushy mounds of silver-green foliage from
midsummer through early fall.
'Ellagance Sky' makes a lovely edging but can also be used in containers or
planted in drifts. |
